The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) is an educational program that spans two years and is offered in 140 countries worldwide. 

Its primary target demographic is students aged 16 to 19 years old. A group of educators from all over the world came together in the early to middle of the 1960s in Geneva, Switzerland, to develop it.

IBDP students are required to demonstrate their knowledge in six specialized areas. They can do so by passing assessments in each of the six subject groups. However, students may choose to forgo a group 6 subject such as art or music, instead choosing an additional subject from the other groups. 

They must also complete the three fundamental requirements: the CAS, the TOK, and the Extended Essay.
