Kiwanis Children’s Fund Scholarship

Two (2) scholarships with minimum award amounts of $2,500 each are awarded. The exact amount will be determined closer to the date of the award.

Donations in memory of J. Walker Field, David W. Hancock, Harry S. Himmel, Andrew Reardon, Stephen A. Sapaugh, Florence Skomba, and Robert Thal make the Kiwanis Children’s Fund Scholarship possible. These donations will provide one Key Club International member in good standing with a scholarship opportunity.

John E. Mayfield Circle K Scholarship

The minimum reward amount is $1,400 US dollars. The exact amount will be determined closer to the date of the award.

Members of Circle K International are in good standing with a minimum grade point average of 2.5 on a scale of 4.0, or its equivalent, are eligible to apply.

John E. Mayfield, the former president of the Kiwanis Children’s Fund, was a significant supporter and ardent supporter of Kiwanis and the Children’s Fund. In 2015, he created the John E. Mayfield Circle K Scholarship Fund. John passed away in 2017, yet his good works live on.

Circle K International Past Presidents’ Scholarship

The award amount is $1,000

Current club presidents are in good standing with the CKI are eligible to apply.

The Circle K International Past Presidents’ Scholarship was established in 1990 to honor current club presidents who have exhibited dedication to CKI and excellence. It is awarded annually to a current club president.

Linda Canaday Memorial Scholarship

The minimum award amount is $3,500 US dollars. The specific amount will be determined closer to the date of the award.

Indiana high school graduates with a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a scale of 4.0 or its equal are eligible to apply. Applicants must have been Key Club International members in good standing for two years.

The Linda Canaday Memorial Scholarship was established in honor of Kiwanis member and wife of 2008-2009 Kiwanis International President Don Canaday, Linda Canaday. The scholarship is presented to one candidate in recognition of Linda’s love of children, which she displayed through her work as a teacher and her commitment to caring for children through Kiwanis.

Only Circle K International or Key Club International members currently enrolled in their senior year of high school and are in good standing are eligible to apply for any scholarship opportunities offered by the Children’s Fund. Scholarships offered by the Kiwanis Children’s Fund are open to Key Club and CKI members. Check with your school for scholarships you may qualify for.

It’s possible that your local Kiwanis club, district, or district foundation is offering scholarships, and you may apply for one of them. Carefully examine each application for a scholarship to determine whether any additional requirements are needed.

Every year, by November 1st, information about available scholarships is uploaded to the website. Applications for scholarships have to be turned in by the 1st of February.
