Beneath The Sea Scholarships

Beneath The Sea Scholarships

If you love the ocean, Beneath the Sea scholarships may be an excellent way to get some money for college.

Beneath the Sea®, Inc. established the Sea of Tomorrow Society Scholarship Program in an effort to promote environmental conservation and the protection of marine life.

Beneath The Sea Scholarships

Beneath the Sea scholarships are awarded annually to help kids, and young adults increase their knowledge and research hours in various subjects, such as marine conservation, marine biology, underwater photography, and underwater archaeology.

Some of their scholarships focus on specific fields of study, while others allow applicants to choose the areas in which they choose to major.

The scholarships can be used to fund various educational expenses such as training and equipment. For research projects needing specific equipment and materials, funding will be made available upon receipt of a paid supplier invoice.

Training Grants give financing for diving and underwater-related training. Some grant sponsors require the applicant to train at a certain facility. Other grants permit the recipient to receive training at an authorized/recognized institution in the United States. Upon receipt of an invoice from the designated facility, funds will be sent to that facility.

In September 2023, applications and deadline information will be available on the BeneaththeSea.us website. Applications must be submitted along with two letters of recommendation by the due date. Late entries will be excluded.

You may apply for only one scholarship or grant for training. Each grant or scholarship has an age range. The applicant must be within this age range at the time the application is submitted.

The purpose of scholarships is to fund independent research/education programs.
