AEE Scholarship

The objective of the AEE Foundation Scholarship program is to give scholarships to eligible practitioners in the domains of energy engineering and energy management in an effort to encourage them to continue their studies in their respective fields.

To this day, the Foundation has distributed grants totaling close to one million dollars, which have been put to use by over 1,100 exceptional students.

The New York Chapter of the Association of Energy Engineers provides financial support to deserving college students through scholarships awarded by the AEE Foundation. These scholarships range from $500 to $2,000 in value.

Who is Eligible?

Candidates working toward their undergraduate or graduate degrees in energy engineering, energy management, environmental engineering, or sustainability at an accredited college or university are eligible to apply for scholarships.

Each candidate must present an essay between 200 and 300 words explaining their passion and interest in the energy industry as well as their financial and professional goals.

Each application must be put forward by a local AEE Chapter to be considered. By May 1, all scholarship applications must have been emailed to the chair of the scholarship committee for your local AEE chapter.

If there is no local chapter in your state or country, please get in touch with the Director of AEE Scholarships directly.

Results are typically released on or around August 1 of each year. If your application is selected for consideration for one of the scholarships, you will be notified via email.
